SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY / JAPAN ↔ INDIA

Empathize.
Energize.
Empower.

The E-3 project connects Rotary partners in Japan and India with communities in Gujarat, supporting water security, livelihoods and the capacity to shape a better future.

Start with people.
Build lasting capability.

The E-3 village project in Katarvant, in the Chhota Udepur region of Gujarat, brings together community participation, technical knowledge and practical improvements to land and water resources.

The retained project documents describe collaboration between Ashiya Rotary Club, Baroda Metro Rotary Club and Shroffs Foundation Trust. Hassan Toorabally helped connect people across Japan and India.

Connected priorities

  • Water harvesting and dependable irrigation
  • Soil conservation and farming livelihoods
  • Women’s wellbeing, household hygiene and model homes
  • Youth education, skills and community leadership

Community-led development.

Water and livelihoods

Land treatment, reservoirs, check dams and irrigation methods support a more dependable relationship between seasonal rainfall, farming and household needs.

People and wellbeing

Training, village participation and improvements to everyday living conditions place people at the centre of the work. Healthcare collaboration and maternal care are also part of the social responsibility interests Acube supports.
